International Women's Day Celebration @ CIA Copia

Join Women In Power Napa Valley for an International Women's Day celebration on Saturday, March 7, 2020. The theme for this year's celebration is #EachforEqual. This will be a powerful day of discussions on gender equality, parity, community involvement, and taking action. Napa Bookmine will be in attendance selling books!

Speakers include...

Award-winning journalist and author of How to Start a Revolution Lauren Duca will be joining us as a keynote speaker. Duca is best known for her massively viral piece “Donald Trump is Gaslighting America” in Teen Vogue and an interview with Tucker Carlson that launched her efforts fighting for young people — and especially young womxn — to insist on their right to the political conversation.

We also want to welcome Everytown Survivor Fellow Liz Russell, Napa City Council Member Mary Luros, Gilda Gonzales - CEO of Planned Parenthood Northern California, teen activist Carla Magaña, Beverly Daniels-Greenberg, retired Judge of the Superior Court of California in Alameda.

The day's activities will include:

  • Welcome Bubbles Lounge hosted by Be Bubbly and J Vineyards
  • Powerful speakers and inspiring panel discussions about women's access to health care and activism

  • Networking hour featuring local wine, and special bites by the CIA Copia

  • Marketplace sponsored by Jenny Gass - Coldwell Banker featuring local women leaders from wineries, businesses, and non-profits.

Women inPower, Napa Valley is a chapter of the 92Y Women InPower in NYC. The Napa Valley chapter was formed by three moms each with daughters, with a mission to show them how powerful positive leadership can be and how important it is to have a seat at the table.

Women inPower, Napa Valley's goal is to support women in leadership positions in our community, and to encourage all women and girls to use their individual power to make positive change. We are an all inclusive organization supporting women business leaders, community activists, elected officials, working moms, and women committed to raising strong and socially responsible young adults.

We host several events throughout the year and need community support to make sure they are successful.
